Please note that the Werner Oechslin Library is exclusively a reference library; books may only be used in the reading room. Loans and interlibrary loans - even of recent publications - are not possible under any circumstances.
Catalogues:
The cataloguing of the collection is underway, about 20,000 books are already included in the NEBIS online catalogue. For the time being, another 20,000 books are listed in an on-site catalogue, which can be consulted at the library. If you are interested in books published before 1900, please contact the librarian: bibliothekar@bibliothek-oechslin.ch
[A preliminary overview of all books registered in the different catalogues is available here online under "Systematik". Please use the site-wide "Search" at the upper right to look for authors, publishers, etc., or for keywords from a book title.]
NEBIS Network Catalogue
You may perform a simple search for approximately 18,000 titles from the library in the NEBIS online catalogue, available in the top right corner of this website. For an advanced search, please
- Go to http://www.nebis.ch
- Choose NEBIS Catalog classic or NEBIS recherche
- Go to "Advanced Search"
- Select BIB-OECHSLIN (Einsiedeln) from the "Library" drop-down menu
- Fill in the appropriate field(s) to search.
