Yet it [= die Art der "Numismatik" in Stradas Epitome] is obviously not this type of numismatic that was the topic of after-dinner conversation in the Villa Giulia, such as we can imagine it from Pighius' Themis dea, from Agustín's Dialoghi intorno alle medaglie  and from his correspondece with Panvinio, or from the learned dissertations of other antiquaries, such as Costantino Landi's Explicationes, published in Lyons two years after the appearance of Strada's Epitome.
